Margaret A. Davis

	Margaret A. Davis, age 70 of DuQuoin passed away at 4:35 p.m. Wednesday May 26, 2004 at the Oak Grove Skilled Care and Rehabilitation Center in Carbondale.
	Margaret was born on July 21, 1933 in DuQuoin, the daughter of Jack and Addie (Lemmons) Bishop. Margaret married Joseph W. Davis on July 3, 1965 in St. Louis Missouri and he preceded her in death on November 2, 1991.
	Mrs. Davis graduated from St. Louis University School of Medicine in 1955 where she served in various positions from surgical nurse to director to the School of Nursing until 1971 when she returned to the DuQuoin area. Shortly thereafter she along with her husband opened the Davis Inn Restaurant and later the Davis Inn North Restaurant and ran those until her husband's illness. She then returned to the nursing field at Marshall Browning Hospital in DuQuoin, retiring as Patient Care Coordinator in 2000. She was a member of the Sunfield United Methodist Church.
	Margaret is survived by one sister, Bernice Bailey, one sister and brother-in-law Minnie and Loren Heape, and one brother and sister-in-law Jackie and Betty Bishop, and several nieces and nephews.
	She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother and sister-in-law Archie and Hazel Bishop, and one sister and brother-in-law Esther and Eddie Rainwater, and one brother-in-law Laverne Bailey. 
	Funeral services were held Saturday, May 29, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Pyatt-Harrawood & Epplin Funeral Home in DuQuoin with the Rev. Jerry Dunn officiating. Friends called Friday, May 28, 2004 from 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. till services at the Pyatt-Harrawood & Epplin Funeral Home in DuQuoin. Interment was held at the I.O.O.F cemetery in DuQuoin.
	In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sunfield United Methodist Church Building Fund.
